Clotrimazole

Clotrimazole  is an antifungal drug that fights infection due to fungus.
Clotrimazole  vaginal (for use in the vagina) is used to treat vaginal candida (yeast) infection.
Clotrimazole  vaginas can also be used for those medicines that are not listed in this drug guide.

Follow all the directions on your drug label and package. Tell each of your health care providers about all your medical conditions, allergies and all the medicines you use.

If you are allergic to this then you should not use Clotrimazole vagina.

If this is the first time you have symptoms of vaginal yeast infection, ask your doctor before using Clotrimazole vagina.

Tell your doctor if you have more than 3 vaginal infections within 6 months. Often vaginal yeast infections that are not cured with treatment can be a sign of a serious condition.

If you have other medical conditions, especially using this drug is safe for you, ask the doctor or pharmacist:

•  Pain in fever, cold, back or shoulder;
•  Abdominal pain, vomiting;
•  Odor-odor vaginal discharge;
•  diabetes; Or
•  HIV or AIDS
FDA Pregnancy Category B Clotrimazole vaginal is not expected to harm a newborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to get pregnant during treatment

If you are breastfeeding the child, do not use Clotrimazole vagina without medical advice.

Do not give this medication to children under the age of 12 without medical advice.

Clotrimazole Side Effects

If you have any of these signs of allergic reaction then get emergency medical help: hives; Hard breathing; Swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

If you have new or poor symptoms of vaginal, call your doctor once.

Common side effects can include:

Minor growth in vaginal discomfort (burning, itching, burning)

Clotrimazole Interaction

There is no sexual intercourse. This drug will not prevent infection from spreading to your partner. Clotrimazole occasionally can damage a condom or a diaphragm. These forms of birth control can be less effective if you use them during treatment.

Avoid taking this medicine in your eyes, nose or mouth.

Avoid wearing tight-fitting, synthetic clothes which do not allow air circulation. Wear loose cotton and other natural fiber cloth until the infection is cured.

There may be other medicines that can interact with clotrimazole vagina. Tell your doctor about all medications you use. This includes prescriptions, over-the-counter, vitamins and herbal products. Do not start a new drug without telling your doctor.

Clotrimazole Dosage

Directly on the label or use exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use longer or smaller amounts or longer than recommended.

Wash your hands before and after using this medicine.

Use the applicant as a director, insert the tablet, suppository, or cream into the vagina.

Even during your menstrual cycle, use this medication for a complete period of time. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is fully cleared. If the infection is not cleaned, or if it is getting worse, see your doctor.

If your symptoms are not better after 3 days of treatment, or if they last for more than a week, contact your doctor. Ask your doctor immediately if you have skin beatness or gall bladder, stomachache, fever, cold, nausea, vomiting, or odor-odor vaginal discharge.

You can use a sanitary napkin to prevent medication by blurring your clothes but do not use tampon.

Store the room at room temperature. Keep away from moisture and heat.

Use the missed dose as soon as you remember. Leave Missed Dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make a missed dose.
